  • About babywearing

Babywearing has been done through the ages in all cultures in so many different ways: front, back, side. For a baby there is nothing better than to hang with mum or dad all day long. It helps the attachment and has a positive effect on the physical and emotional development. Your baby can explore the world from the safety of the parent’s arms. When it becomes to overwhelming and they grow tired, they can just close their eyes and take a nap. It might not be such a surprise that for parents it can also have a calming effect and, not unimportantly, they have their hands free to go about the business of daily life.

Though it is called babywearing, older children often benefit from being carried as well, being able to recharge close to mum or dad after that overwhelming first day of school, during that exhaustingly long journey, or in that overcrowded street. What could be more comfortable than to have a wee nap in the middle of the chaos, or watch the world from the comfort of mum or dad’s back while your tired legs get to rest?
