When I was pregnant I knew immediately that I wanted to start babywearing, Google told me that a woven wrap was the best suited for all ages and seasons, so who was I to contradict Google?
When my wee girl was born in May 2017, my beautiful wrap, washed and ironed, was waiting for her, but what a hassle that wrapjob turned out to be! So much fabric for such a small baby…
By now that feeling has completely turned around, nowadays I feel very unhanded if I don’t have one or two of my wraps with me for when my wee girl gets tired, or I just don’t have the time to go running after her (for wee ones get big and stubborn), it is the most natural thing in the world to just scoop her up and wrap her on my back, front or side.
You just cannot take the babywearing out of our lives, I cannot imagine how to do without, it brings relief for illness, teething, or when sleep just won’t come, but exhaustion has already come to call.
It has enriched our family in so many ways, it tightened our bonds and makes our night bearable and even cosy. That is something I would wish for every family, these years of cuddles pass so fast, they should be enjoyed to the max! That is why, in January of 2019, I decided to the schooling at die Trageschule® and become a babywearing consultant.
